It's only for the look of course cause it does not protect against shock if you drop your phone.
What i did it's to apply this sticky pattern over the phone which i then protect with a clear hard cover.
This way i get both look and protection !

(More customer reviews)I absolutely LOVE this skin decal!! It is very easy to apply (& remove & re-apply without difficulty or residue) & looks amazing. It really changes the whole appearance of the phone for a very custom & personalized look. I put a screen cover under the decal & added a clear hard cover on top for maximum coverage/protection. I especially love how it even comes with decals for the metal side bands, too. Although it was a tight fit, initially, with my hard case, & caused some bunching of the decal, which wouldn't allow the case to close properly, a little tweaking (I just slightly cut the corners) & it all fits perfectly. As a bonus, you'll get a promo code for the free matching wallpaper which really pulls the look all together. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!! I've already received tons of compliments on it & have referred many of my friends to get their own decals. Definitely worth the money (& would even pay more)!!

When you put it on be very careful. I have lint stuck to the underneath side of the front protector and it shows through. Trying to get it off would probably just make a bigger smudge.

(More customer reviews)This product is more cosmetic than functional. It doesn't really offer much protection. Its basically a precision cut sticker. It does not completely cover the front of the the phone; there is no screen protector included. It doesn't completely cover the back of the phone either, leaving a quarter inch gap around the edges. The segment in the front that covers the 4 main buttons is too thick and you have press the buttons five or six times to get it to work, very frustrating. However, the re-applicable adhesive is great and doesn't leave any sticky residue. With the free wallpaper, it looks pretty nice, but if you plan on carrying your phone in your pocket or purse, your better off with something else.

(More customer reviews)I bought this skin to spice up the Kindle, as it was the plain white plastic look that has been noted on so many boards as being too cheap looking. I didn't have a problem with the look of the original Kindle, but I like to decorate - what can I say?
Other reviews of these skins have said it, but remember to punch out and remove the button holes on the skin BEFORE you remove the entire skin. I read up on the skin and did this, but if I had not I can see where I would have had trouble with this (wrinkling of the skin, etc.).
The packaging also includes a link and code to go to download the screansaver that blends in with the skin, and that was really easy to do and follow, and it looks great!

I like it because there were many graphics to choose from, and being into skulls and supernatural stuff I loved this "death on hold" graphic. In my opinion, it was a little difficult to get it positioned correctly on the face of the nook, and if you pull too much it stretches out. I love that you also get a matching picture to load on your nook (sent in a e-mail when you go to their site and enter your code). This is a great item if you want to add a little personal touch to your nook.
